Potato Salad

The potato salad looked kind of funky because the eggs were dyed for Easter. But it was a good way of using up my Easter eggs. The reason I picked this is because my sister wanted me to make this. I saw a picture of a recipe I wanted to do, but it took too many ingredients, and my sister was hungry for potato salad. At first I didn't really  want to make it, but now I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed the cutting. It made me feel like I'm a real chef. Slicing hard-boiled eggs and boiled potatoes is a lot of fun! Squeezing the relish was also fun. This is one of the more healthy recipes I've made because I usually like to make desserts. We had sloppy joes with this for dinner. My Mom doesn't really like sloppy joes, but she loved my potato salad and she ate almost half the bowl! I used my Betty Crocker cookbook for this recipe. The ingredients are 4 medium potatoes, 1/4 t. salt, 1 cup diced celery, 1/4 cup minced onion, 1/4 cup pickle relish, 1/4 cup French dressing, 3 hard-cooked eggs, sliced, and 1/2 cup mayonnaise.

Bunny Salad

Tomorrow is Easter Sunday. We celebrate when Jesus rose from the dead (Resurrection Sunday). In my family we have a lot of traditions for holidays and other things. We will have an Easter basket hunt in the morning. Me and my brothers and sister will have a basket full of treats. My parents will hide them at night or early in the morning. My Dad hides them really good. My sister can never find them. Last year her basket was industrial zip-tied to the curtain rod. Every morning my Mom and my sister have a cup of tea, so my sister is too sleepy to find it before she gets her tea. After we find our Easter baskets we have to get ready for church. There is a special service where we go to church. After church we will go to my grandparent's house. We will have a very nice dinner. All the kids will go on an Easter egg hunt in their backyard. I made these bunnies today because they're kind of like Easter bunnies and I'm going to take them to the special dinner tomorrow. I made these bunnies by using pear halves, cottage cheese, red hots, almonds, and instead of raisins I substituted dried blueberries. The recipe is in my Betty Crocker Boy's and Girl's Cookbook.

Confetti Pie

Getting my ingredients together
Confetti pie recipe

The finished pie
This is a quick and easy recipe to cook. Because you don't have to use the oven. Once you have cooked the Confetti Pie you can eat it right away. Once you have made the pudding you kind of need to make everything even faster. That's because the pudding will start to get hard. I like to cook with mini marshmallows because they look so cute, especially the colored ones. I used the Betty Crocker Girls and Boys cookbook for this recipe.
